Item Description
Large, sharp, gemmy and lustrous, barite crystals are aesthetically clustered on the sparkling, bubbly, drusy quartz crust on this exceptional barite specimen from Morocco. The stout barite spearpoints look like classic old English crystals, but are not. All of the primary barites are pristine. Older material from Morocco (1960s or 70s?), as the Greg Kirby label lists Serfou (possibly Sefrou Province, where MINDAT does not list barite). We believe this very fine specimen is probably from Taouz. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
