A fine quality and hard to find small cabinet display specimen of Barite on Quartz from the famous Les Farges Mine in France. This locality is best known for its world-class Pyromorphite specimens, and pieces like this are certainly hard to find. Fine, sharp, lustrous, gemmy to translucent, golden crystals of Barite measuring up to 1.5 cm sit on Quartz matrix. Very good quality with only a tiny bit of roughness. If you collect European classics, or rare display quality specimens of pieces from well-known localities, don't miss out on this one. From the collection of the long time, beloved, well-known French field collector, Paul Zerfass (Collection #366). Zerfass built this worldwide collection over nearly 50 years, many of which were personally collected.
