Item Description
A very aesthetic barite on quartz combination specimen from recent finds at Jinkouhe, China. The super sharp, 3.5 cm, glassy, tabular, barite crystal has water-clear faces along with lightly frosted and overcoated faces, which has a very striking effect on both sides of the specimen. The barite is very jauntily set on the angled, two-sided crust covered with water-clear quartz needles. In fact, there is a quartz crystal included in the barite! The barite is pristine and there are very few broken quartz crystals on this exquisite specimen. Exellent material from this locality. Valued at $800-1000.
