Barite on Mimetite

Barite and mimetite combination specimens are very uncommon from Ojuela and this is a very rich and aesthetic example. The sculptural, arborescent, Christmas tree-like piece is covered with tiny clusters of spiky, straw-yellow, mimetite crystals. "Ornaments" of glassy rosettes of jagged, flattened barite crystals are festooned on the piece. The crystals spill over onto the back of the specimen. High-quality, rich and rare combination material. Valued at $300. A must for the locality or species collector.
