Item Description

Barite on galena specimens are very uncommon from this well-known locale, where barite is generally associated with fluorite. Three sides of the splendent, metallic-gray, interestingly complex cube are preferentially coated with small, sparkly, near-colorless barite crystals along with a few nicely accenting, larger, glassy, amber blades. The galena is nearly pristine, with only a bit of bruising on one corner. Excellent and uncommon older combination material from this noted locale from the George Feist Collection # 735. Heavy lead at 3.7 pounds or 1.7 kilos.
