Barite on Fluorite and Quartz

Excellent quality, gemmy, blocky, golden-amber Barite crystals to 1.0 cm are selectively deposited on the sides of a sculptural Quartz matrix which is coated by gemmy Fluorite crystals, which range in color from a vibrant blue to a pastel lilac shade. This piece dates back to around 2010 when some of the best pieces of this material were coming out of the ground. When the piece is backlit, the color is GORGEOUS, as the mixture of hues creates an effect that I can't honestly say I've seen in another mineral specimen. These are truly fine quality Barites from the standpoint of color, luster, form and gemminess, and to have them form on such beautiful Fluorite and Quartz matrix makes them all the more enticing. Minor roughness here and there, but certainly worth picking up for your collection, especially now that nothing has come out in a few years.
