Barite on Dolomite

Three, absolutely water-clear, smoky, barite blades to 2.2 cm are beautifully attached to the top of a mounded, sculptural matrix covered with pastel-pink, dolomite rhombs on this highly aesthetic specimen from recent finds at Cerro Warihuyn, Peru. The barites are pristine and have very nifty beveled edges. A rich sprinkling of marcasite microcrystals on the dolomite is a nice accent. Outstanding combination material from this locale, which is becoming a contemporay classic. Valued at $500-700.
