Item Description

The Rock Candy Mine is a classic Canadian locale, well-known for fluorite and barite specimens. This is an outstanding and aesthetic specimen of glassy, translucent to transparent, tabular, amber barite crystals dramatically perched atop intensely stepped-growth, rounded fluorites with a very nifty drusy quartz coating. The bi-colored fluorite ranges from pastel-green to light purple to colorless. This very fine piece is essentially pristine, except for a bit of periphery wear. Bright fluorescence! Ex Whitmore Collection.
