Item Description

A very aesthetic, old-time, barite miniature from Frizington. Supremely glassy, doubly terminated, transparent to translucent barite blades to 3.9 cm are sculpturally clustered on the bit of matrix. Complete all-around and in great shape, with only one barely noticeable broken crystal tip lower on the piece and a tiny bit of very trivial edge wear. Classic and excellent material from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained in a trade with the Manchester Museum in 1977.
