Item Description
An impressive, old-time two-sided barite specimen from the less well-known mines of Northumberland. Larger glassy tabular spearpoints dominate the mounded matrix of essentially solid intergrown barite crystals. The striking, isolated, doubly terminated crystal is 3.6 cm. The two sides are distinctively different. Strange chemistry here! Specimens of this size and quality are quite rare. Classic material with several fine display views from the Alfred Stevenson and Eugene Carmichael Collections. Valued at $750-1000.
