Item Description

The famous Elmwood Mine has produced some outstanding combination specimens and this a is very fine large example. Three intergrown, translucent, frosted, light purple fluorite cubes to 3.7 cm are flanked by and partially overgrown by two stacked "balls"of tan, bladed barite. The underlying matrix is rubyjack sphalerite. The two large fluorites are pristine and the small cube has only a barely noticeable gentle cleave to a lower corner. The barite is in good shape. The basal periphery wear is noted, but certainly has minimal impact to the overall impressive presentation. Older material. Classic, sculptural and aesthetic large material from the Charelle and Jame Webb Collection. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $150, for free. 5.1 pounds or 2.1 kilos. Valued at $800-1000.
