A dramatic and sculptural, natural Cubist Modern Art specimen of stacked, very blocky, barite crystals from this obscure Zacatecas mining district. The lustrous and translucent, off-white crystals are preferentially included with oxides, giving striking color zonation. The modest periphery wear on the top and contacting on the back have no impact on the impressive presentation of this piece. Specimens of any variety are rare from this locale, with barite, especially so. Ex Harold Urish Collection and valued at $400.
