Barite (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

These are arguably the finest golden Barite crystals from Colorado. The best of these specimens show a very rich golden color and excellent gem quality crystals. This piece is comprised of dozens of gemmy, sharp, lustrous, rich golden color Barites sitting on a bed of tan colored Siderite "discs". The color in the photos is just slightly more red than the piece appears in person. This mine is long defunct and will never produce these amazing Barites ever again. This specimen came to Richie from noted Colorado collector, George Robertson, and was mined in 1959.
