Barite (ex Paul Zerfass Collection)

A wonderful specimen consisting of bladed, cream colored Barite crystals in parallel growth forming semi-rosettes with a tiny bit of associated purple Fluorite on the back. The piece is in great shape overall, with only a few incomplete spots of growth. A worthwhile and attractive Barite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. For the size, amount of crystals and unique overall appearance of the piece, it's worth picking up for any collector. From the collection of the long time, beloved, well-known French field collector, Paul Zerfass (Collection #1775). Zerfass built this worldwide collection over nearly 50 years, many of which were personally collected. A biography featuring specimens from his collection (along with his face on the cover) is in the May - June 2017 issue of French mineral magazine, Le Regne Mineral.
