The area around Stoneham in Northeastern Colorado produces some of the most iconic blue Barite crystal from any locality in the United States. These crystals are rarely gemmy enough to produce attractive faceted stones, as they almost always have some kind of inclusions or internal cloudiness. This stone is a very good example of said material as it's one of the largest we've had to offer. The stone has a traditional "Emerald" cut, and while there are a few eye-visible inclusions, it's still quite clean for the material. It features that beautiful steel blue color for which the material is known. You would be hard pressed to find another stone in this size and quality from Stoneham on the market, so don't miss out on this one!
