Barite (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A hard to find little Barite specimen from the well known White Raven Mine. The chalky white, somewhat thick, crystals are a classic representation of the Barites from this old silver producer. The matrix is composed of golden Siderite with what could be an earlier generation of underlain Barite. The largest crystal measures 1.1 cm across. A great little piece to pick up for any collector of Boulder County material, or possibly a Colorado miniature collector.
