Item Description
A wonderful big cabinet display specimen specimen consisting of very pale blue-grey bladed, pearly Barite crystals, measuring up to 1.0 cm. The piece is in GREAT shape overall, with only a few broken Barites that are hardly noticeable. It should be noted that the piece has formed somewhat of a "cast" or a perimorph (yes, this is the correct term) where the original material underneath has been dissolved away. It's hard to differentiate between individual crystals as the piece was difficult to photograph, and honestly it looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Barite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. For the size, amount of crystals and unique overall appearance of the piece, it's worth picking up for any collector. Valued at $950.
