This locality has produced some of the most classic and easily recognizable Barite specimens from anywhere in the United States. The grey-blue color combined with the excellent quality of the crystals makes them a Colorado classic for sure. Here we have a great group of sharp, lustrous, and very gemmy crystals of some of the best quality Barites ever collected in Colorado. Typically the crystals from this locality have good blue-grey color, but they're rarely as gemmy the crystals on this specimen. Keep in mind that this locality has produced any good crystals in over 10 years and this piece is from the great find from the 1980's. Every Colorado collector should have one of these specimens in their collection. Valued at $500-$600 retail.
