Item Description

An excellent, showy and fine quality attractive full-sized cabinet specimen of the famous Barites from the Meikle Mine in Nevada. This piece is loaded with plenty of superb quality, razor sharp, highly lustrous, well-formed, tabular crystals with that classic golden color and excellent transparency. The largest Barites measures 2.8 cm, and many of them show fantastic internal "phantoms" as you can see in the photos. Hard to photograph, but really eye-catching in person. Most of the crystals are in excellent condition, but it is understandably contacted around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. I love the wonderful three-dimensional flair with impressive crystal quality. Valued in the inventory at $4,500.
