Item Description
A classic group of thick, sharp, very lustrous, translucent, bladed, soft blue-grey color Barite crystals with the well-known inclusion/coating of reddish-brown Hematite. The crystals are in decent shape (some nicks here and there) and the piece display beautifully from a few angles. A wonderul display specimen from one of the most classic world localities for Barite hands down. Probably mined during the late 1800's. The piece comes with labels from the collection of Elihu Thomson and Patricia A. Barker. Valued at $1600.
