Item Description

An impressive mounded specimen covered with glassy, translucent, colorless barite spearpoints. Many of the blades are intergrown, parallel-growth clusters with striking sawtoothed edges. This showy piece is from a classic England locality - the Settlingstones Mine, Northumberland. This exceptional piece is in super shape, essentially pristine, with only trivial, out of sight periphery wear. Historic, old-time material, probably around 100 years old or older. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Valued $600
