Item Description

Lustrous and translucent clusters of pretty, sea foam-green, barite blades are nicely accented with scattered yellow tinting. Amazingly, for such dense coverage, this striking large piece is essentially pristine. Fine, large, barite plates, such as this, are quite rare and desirable from the mines of this Romanian district. However, this is older material and large plates are very rare on the market today. This particular plate has unusuall rich color for the material, and is highly lustrous. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
