Item Description
A superb CABINET plate of sparkling, pearlescent, lamellar, barite blades from the famous Baia Sprie Mine of Romania. The composite crystals are up to 3.0 cm across and many of the tips are water-clear on this dramatic piece. Very few broken crystals for such size and rich coverage! The matrix back is really unusual! It is a cemented breccia!! Pieces of this size and quality came out in the 1980s, with none since. Valued at $800-1000 for size and quality.
