Item Description
An impressive 6.0 cm across cluster of lustrous, glassy, parallel-growth, tan to colorless, tabular barite blades dramatically rests on and cements a striking breccia of partially translucet rich purple fluorite cubes and a sliver of sandstone matrix. This outstanding combination has multiple display views, several without aid. The barite cluster is very nearly pristine, with only very gentle rubbing on the tips. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 2115 and collected in July, 1994 during pillar-robbing in the main orebody. Ross's handwritten note states: "Very large well-crystallized barite from mine." Valued at $1000-1250.
