An impressive, sculptural, old-time, two-sided, combination from the famous iron mines at Frizington. A striking cluster of lustrous, translucent, color-zoned, bluish-gray, tabular barirte crystals with a myriad of tiny calcite prisms is aesthetically set atop the 3-dimensional hematite matrix. The barites are up to 3.1 cm on edge and are very nearly pristine, with only a trivial amount of rubbing. The clean repair down the center of the piece is barely noticeable and has very minimal impact to the fine quality of this classic and excellent combination.
