Item Description

A large, bladed barite ball is nicely set on matrix of lustrous, rubyjack sphalerite crystals on this excellent and aesthetic specimen from the famous Elmwood Mine. A nifty accent are small, gemmy, purple fluorite cubes scattered on the sphalerite. Scattered modest bruising is noted on the barite ball, but is certainly a modest detraction to this showy, highly representative large combination. It is a fine display specimen that has long been in the mineral collection of John Culberson, one of our current Texas Congressmen in the US House of Representatives for the Houston area. He has specialized in Elmwood minerals for several decades. valued $750
