Barite and Orpiment

Item Description

Glassy, transparent to translucent, tabular, barite crystals to 1.1 cm are aesthetically scattered on sparkly, rich burnt-orange, nubby, orpiment botryoids on this showy and colorful combination piece from a recent Peruvian find. A bit of bruising and periphery wear are noted, but this remains a highly representative example of the species and noted locale.
