Barite and Orpiment

Item Description

A colorful and excellent larger combination plate from the recent find at Quiruvilca. Glassy, transparent to translucent, tabular, barite crystals are richly and aesthetically scattered on sparkly, rich burnt-orange, nubby, orpiment botryoids. In very fine shape, overall, the few broken or gently bruised barites and modest periphery wear are barely noticeable and are certainly not a detraction. The piece displays well from either side.
