Item Description
Lustrous, bladed crystal of Baryte 5 cm across with a thickness up to .9 cm. The Baryte ranges from gemmy to translucent, and there is a stack of radiating scalenohedral Calcite crystals emanating from one corner. Of great interest is the hexagonal outline at the very top of the Baryte. Apparently, the Baryte grew around a crystal at one point, and the sharp hexagonal outline is all that remains. An unusual, and attractive, combination specimen of a mineral uncommon from this well-known mine where it is very rare.
