Item Description

This locality has produced some of the most classic and easily recognizable Barite specimens from anywhere in the United States. The soft blue color combined with the excellent quality of the crystals makes them such a well-known Colorado classic. This piece features well-formed prismatic crystals of gemmy to translucent blue Barite measuring up to 2.7 cm on matrix. This is a great representative display specimen of this material. The piece comes with an old label from the Pala Collector Shop in Fallbrook, CA. Easily 35 years old if not older.
