Item Description
This is an unusual example of the barian celestine (formerly referred to by many colelctors as Barytocelestine) from this old Polish mining locale. It has sprays of crystals to 7 cm, with a good elegance and overall sculptural look to the piece that is frankly better in person than the photos indicate. The size is large, and it is complete and displayable all around. Small sulfur crystals are in attendance and in fact it LOOKS like some of the crystals are pseudomorphed to sulfur in a few places (though it could be merely a coating). The piece is largely unscathed, with just a few broken tips that matter despite its size and fragility, and is quite displayable. Valued $750-1000
