Item Description
Malachite is not what you think of first when you think of Mina Ojuela, but it did produce some - though very rare in this size and richness. This striking and sculptural piece is distinctively banded velvet malachite with a bit of attached gossan crust. A trivial bit of bruising is noted. This very uncommon specimen came out of the collection of Dave Stoudt. Rich primary malachites are not common from this renowned mine. It looks like Bisbee, Congo or China material, but its not.
