Item Description
A STUNNING, OLD-TIME halite (salt) crystal from a CLASSIC German locality - Stassfurt, Saxony-Anhalt. The FABULOUS azure-blue color banding is UNREAL! RARELY do you find halite in a form other than cubes or octahedrons, so this very sharp clear tabular crystal is truly a gem in its own right aside from being gemmy per se. It is sharper and even more lustrous in person. COMPLETE ALL AROUND. Some of the faces may be cleavages. Its really hard to tell. but this is just how they come. We had two of these old classics in a recent collection purchase, among the better ones I have seen for sale in some time. Valued?
