From one of the original, great occurrences in the U.S. for Babingtonite comes this very good plate of highly contrasting black-green Babingtonite on Quartz from the Lane Quarry in Massachusetts! The piece consists of a myriad of well-formed Babingtonite crystals from 2 to 8mm nestled on and among tiny, perfect Quartz crystals making for an attractive small cabinet specimen! The reverse side shows Babingtonite in association with mint green prehnite and only minor quartz. Originally collected by Steve and Janet Cares a few decades ago and has their hand printed label! A nice reprieve from all of the Chinese Babingtonite out there! valued $500-750
