Babingtonite with Prehnite

The Lane & Son Traprock Quarries are often labeled simply as "Lane's Quarry" on specimens. This famous New England locale is well known for producing superb crystals of Babingtonite, arguably the finest from the United States along with those from the Roncari Quarry in Connecticut. This piece is a good quality small cabinet sized specimen featuring several very sharp, well-formed, dark greenish-black, highly lustrous Babingtonite crystals sitting on green Prehnite. The largest Babingtonite measures about 5 mm, and most of them are in very good condition. The piece displays well as you can see from the video, and it's a wonderful classic example of these now elusive, and highly sought after Babingtonites.
