Babingtonite w/ Quartz

Item Description

Sharp, lustrous, striated, jet-black, babingtonite crystals form a very aesthetic small cabinet plate on this fine specimen from recent Chinese finds. The striking large crystal is 2.6 x 2.3 cm. The front is essentially pristine and the quartz on the periphery adds color and contrast. An excellent two-sided plate, as the back is covered with tiny babingtonites with quartz. There are even some tiny epidotes scattered about on both sides. These Chinese finds have really elevated the species. For the species, a very fine small cabinet.
