A VERY hard to find matrix display specimen of fine, sharp black crystals of Babingtonite measuring up to 7 mm on Quartz and basalt matrix. The label accompanying this piece states that it's from Somerville, Massachusetts but doesn't mention a more specific locality. If you collect minerals of New England, don't miss out on this attractive and RARE specimen of this attractive material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4500).
