Item Description

The famous and extinct Upper New Street, New Jersey Trap Rock quarry produced a plethora of outstanding specimens. This very fine and uncommon combination features sheaves of coated babingtonite blades aesthetically scattered on the matrix of tiny quartz points. The sharp holes look like casts of dissolved anhydrite blades and the tiny reddish blades richly peppered about may be heulandites or another zeolite. The large babingtonite sheave is 1.6 cm. Classic and excellent combination material.
