Babingtonite specimens directly attributable to this obscure trap rock quarry, adjacent to the famous Lane's Quarry, are quite rare. This excellent and aesthetic piece features a well-placed, elongate cluster of lustrous black crystals jauntily set in the sculptural vug lined with calcite. The basalt matrix has fine form, too. Massachusetts babingtonites were long considered to be the finest in the world. Ex Don Boydston Collection and comes with a faded The Bradley's label dating to the 1950s or 60s.
