Sharp, lustrous, jet-black, babingtonite prisms are aesthetically clustered next to mint-green, bladed prehnite on a field of glassy quartz crystals layered with a vein of sparkly epidote microcrystals. This Chinese locality has recently produced some of the finest babingtonites in the world. An excellent and showy combination specimen. This piece would be much more expensive, if from Massachusetts! The Chinese material has redefined what the average quality a collector can own, for this species.
