Azurite with Mottramite (Shields Flynn Coll.)

A terminated, hefty for its size, lustrous navy-blue azurite crystal is festooned on all sides with florets of tiny pistachio-green mottramite crystals. This is a very showy and unusual combination from Tsumeb. The Joe Varadv and Shields Flynn Collection labels indicate the green is malachite, but we believe this is mottramite due to the color and crystal form. A highly unusual, colorful and showy 360-degree miniature azurite combination.
