Azurite with Mottramite

Item Description

Here we have a wonderful classic Tsumeb association specimen piece hosting fine, sharp, deep blue colored crystals of Azurite measuring to a few mm, associated with yellow-green colored Mottramite matrix. This combo is not terribly common from Tsumeb, and it's just striking as the two species contrast each other beautifully. A showy, good quality piece that displays well. Tsumeb specimens are arguably the most sought after minerals in the world, and Tsumeb is certainly the most significant mineral locality in terms of the number of high quality minerals species (from common to exceedingly rare) found there.
