A hard to find combo specimen featuring fine, lustrous, bladed crystals of medium to dark blue colored Azurite measuring up to 1.2 cm, sitting on a matrix of complimenting green Malachite from the Oujda-Angad Prefecture in Morocco. These are notably rare on the market, and a showy display quality piece like this is certainly desirable, especially if you're a fan of secondary ore minerals, worldwide Azurites or minerals from Morocco. The piece comes with a label from the Sparta Collection. Dick is an avid collector of minerals, books, and mining memorabilia, along with being an accomplished author in the mineral world. Arguably, his greatest claim to fame is being the co-founder of the Sterling Hill Mining Museum in Ogdensburg, NJ. Dick purchased the land on which the Sterling Hill Mine resides in 1988, and the museum has been running strong since.
