Azurite with Malachite on Chrysocolla (ex Brian Kosnar and Harold Urish Collections)

A great association specimen from this famous copper producing region in Arizona. Morenci has given collectors some iconic and beautiful Azurite and Malachite specimens, and this piece is a good miniature display piece featuring a few beauitful and lustrous "rosettes" of deep royal blue color Azurite (beautiful when viewed in reflected light), associated with soft green botryoidal Malachite and blue-green Chrysocolla on matrix. The largest "rosette" measures 7 mm across. Great balance, visual appeal, and the association make this a very worthwhile piece for any collector. Please note that there is a small nick on the side of the Azurite. Ex Harold Urish collection, who obtained the piece from Wayne Chartier on May 22, 1996.
