A beautiful, rich royal blue color layer of crystallized Azurite is sitting atop beautifully complimenting layer of mint green Malachite on host rock matrix from the classic locality at Morenci. This area has produced some of the most attractive Azurite and Malachite combinations from any locality in the world. Obviously, Bisbee is the premier Arizona locality for Azurite specimens, but Morenci produced some truly gorgeous specimens over the years. If you look closely, you can see the Azurite has formed attractive "rosette"-esque groups, and the piece is in great shape on the display side. This particular style of Azurite on Malachite from Morenci are not terribly common on the market, and certainly are worth picking up in this market.
