Item Description

A great association specimen from this famous copper producing region in Arizona. Morenci has given collectors some iconic and beautiful Azurite and Malachite specimens, and this piece is a good miniature display piece featuring some VIBRANT blue color prismatic crystals of Azurite (beautiful when viewed in reflected light), associated with soft green Malachite. The final touch to the piece is that it's coated by very pale blue to grey colored crystals of the uncommon aluminun hydroxite, Gibbsite. Great balance, visual appeal, and associations make this a very worthwhile piece for any collector. Ex Harold Urish collection, who obtained the piece from Stan Esbenshade at the Tucson Show in 1995. Valued at $550.
