A great, classic association stone from Arizona. This beautiful and colorful freeform cabochon cut gem / carving is a great representative stone from the famous locality at Morenci. The stone shows beautiful banded and swirling hues of deep blue Azurite with minor green Malachite For the $100 starting bid, the stone is priced at just under $6 per carat, which is below wholesale for the material. A very cool stone of this well-known and somewhat difficult to obtain material. The stone comes to us from Stan Esbenshade, and was mined in the 1980s.
