The Azurites from Morenci are certainly among the finest ever found in any locality in Arizona, and are only second in terms of quality to the classic specimens from Bisbee. This specimen features semi-"rose"-shaped groups consisting of dark blue color, sharp tabular crystals of Azurite which are partially pseudomorphing to chatoyant green Malachite. A great piece for any fan of secondary ore minerals, worldwide Azurite or minerals of Arizona. You don't see many good Morenci Azurites on the market today, and this is a nice example of this classic material.
