An attractive specimen of Azurite with Malachite from the famous Milpillas Mine. This piece features fine quality, sharp, rather lustrous, somewhat gemmy, deep blue, bladed crystals of Azurite measuring up to 1.3 associated with minor mint green and forest green Malachite and no matrix. Good quality overall, but not perfect, hence the auction listing. Most of the Azurites are undamaged, but there are some contacted areas. The piece shows nicely from a few different directions. Milpillas is finished in terms of the oxidized zone, so there will be no more Azurite specimens according to our sources.
