Item Description
When it comes to classic combinations in the mineral world, Azurite and Malachite has to be near the top of the list. Regardless of the locality, Azurite and Malachite specimens are beloved by collectors. The pieces from the Liufengshan Mine have been around for about 15+ years, and they remain some of the most beautiful and fine quality examples of Azurite with Malachite ever seen from any world locality. They have all the characteristics of the classic associations from Bisbee, Arizona with their intense midnight blue Azurite crystals and gorgeous velvety green Malachite associations. Sure, these are still contemporary pieces, but they undoubtedly will go down as classics. This fine quality large cabinet sized display piece is loaded with sparkling, sharp, brilliant crystals of deep blue Azurite which are sitting atop semi-botryoidal clusters and mammillary aggregates of mint-green Malachite matrix. It's uncanny how much the piece resembles Bisbee! The piece is in excellent shape overall, as the only roughness is along the outer edges where it was removed from the pocket wall. A very showy, eye-catching and incredibly good quality example of these now beloved specimens. These pieces are no longer being found, so scoop them up while they're still available. Priced in the inventory at $2,000.
